The Royal We – L’Enfant Terrible – 24th September 2007
Geographic Music must have some money to throw away as they’re currently planning to release The Royal We’s debut single whilst knowing in full consciousness that the band are set to split in a few months time. An interesting marketing angle granted, yet it is quite baffling that this song is only ‘good’ at best. Surely if you were going to go tits first into releasing a single by a band destined to split up then you’d make sure it was a brilliant, neigh, superb single? I like the catchy chorus and the violin ‘lick’ (if you will) but if this does well enough to convince the members of The Royal We to fob off art college and go on tour then I’ll show you my pigeons.
